Dear ABIS Community Members
This week in physical and health education, grade 7 and 8 students concluded their summative assessments for their current units of learning.
Grade 7 students created skill videos to refine their communication and digital literacy skills. Students took ownership of their learning through voice and choice. Each student selected the skill(s) they wished to showcase and the presentation style of their respective videos.
Grade 8 students focused on acquiring the skills to plan and organize a football tournament. Through collaborative efforts, they shared ideas regarding the tournament’s structure, rules, match schedules, and other aspects. The goal of this unit is to organise an actual primary inter-house football tournament later this term.
It’s inspiring to witness the students taking ownership of their learning and actively participating in skill development and collaborative projects.
