Dear parents,
What a week this has been! With the weather causing disruptions to everyone in North Al Batinah, we are thankful that all are safe and the students have returned to school.
With the postponement of Oman week activities, we have been able to rebook the trips for the week directly after the February break. Mr Andy Cooper and Mr Matthew Richmond will be communicating to parents the plans for the new Oman week.
Next week over two evenings, Tuesday and Wednesday, the Secondary teachers will be conducting parent teacher meetings. The signup sheets have been sent to parents and I would encourage you to make an appointment with your child’s teachers. Primary parent teacher meetings will be held in April after Ramadan.
There is also two big days for Grade 6 who will presenting the final project of their primary years, the Grade 6 Exhibition. This takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday and Grade 6 parents are invited to attend after school on Tuesday. All parents and students are also invited to attend on the following times: Tuesday 20th February, 10:30 – 11:30 am / 2:00 – 2:45 pm and Wednesday 21st February 8:30 – 10:00 am / 10:30 – 11:30 am.
International Mother Tongue Day takes place on Wednesday 21st February. We will celebrate all the languages spoken by our students through a variety of activities. Homeroom teachers will contact you to advise of further details.
Next week ASA’s will not be running due the events outlined above.
The catered lunches will resume next week, Sunday to Wednesday for those students who purchased meals before the trial began.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Dominic Robeau
