We started a new Unit of Inquiry: “How we express ourselves”. In this unit we will learn about the different ways that stories can be shared with others. Furthermore we will focus on the fact that stories will give us a message and students will work on their own book which they later will publish.
This week we had a great time expressing what we already know about stories through an open-ended learning experience. We launched our new unit of inquiry by giving the students a bag of unrelated objects. The children were asked to create a story out of those objects and experienced different ways of sharing their ideas.
Further during this week we worked on our math skills by working on our fact families up to 20, skip counting in groups of tens and fives, counting backwards from 100 to 1 and lots more.
