It’s been a busy week in Grade 5! Thank you to those of you who came along to watch today’s assembly. It was great to see you. This week at ABIS we celebrated International Kindness Day. Kindness has been something we have been focused on in Grade 5 since the beginning of the year, and it was great to see everyone outside playing football together at lunch time!

In Language this week we have been inquiring into setting descriptions and starting to look at how we can use figurative language to help our readers create a clear image of where stories take place. In maths, we have been looking at decomposing units and rounding decimals to any place value using a vertical number line. In Unit of Inquiry our teams have been choosing their team names and starting to plan which problem their Rube Goldberg Machines will solve!

P.E. has been taking place outdoors as everyone starts to practice for Sports Day in December. It has been so nice to be outdoors again and we hope you have the opportunity to make the most of the pleasant weather over the weekend.

Best wishes, Team G5.
