Dear All,

I can feel the anticipation for summer vacation energizing our students in class! Please remind them to be on their best behavior while at school and to try to stay focused as we want them to continue learning and being as productive as possible as long as they are here. Also, make sure students are bringing their iPads and headphones daily to class. Students should be completing their last Reading and Math Homework packets this weekend and they should be turned in on Sunday June 11, 2023.

I would like to congratulate Shamma Al Ghaithi for passing the Timed Multiplication Test! Great job Shamma G.! We still have 5 out of our 15 students who haven’t passed the Timed Multiplication Test so please ask your child if they have passed or are still taking the test weekly. Multiplication is so important to their ability to learn higher math skills so please push them memorize their multiplication facts at the minimum from 0-10 without using their fingers.

Students discovered more about Hydropower and began to learn about Nuclear Power this week in our Unit of Inquiry. This weekend, please have your child watch the YouTube video about Nuclear Power I emailed them this weekend and write 3-5 things they learned from the video for discussion on Sunday. Students should be able to communicate effectively in English what they learned from the video.

As this academic year is quickly coming to close I would like to sincerely thank you all for your continued support. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.

Have a great weekend!

Mr. Jaymz
