Dear parents,

As we approach the final four weeks of the academic year, it’s important to address any potential stress or pressure your child may be experiencing due to tasks and assessments. Please take the time to have a conversation with your child and ensure their well-being and please always reach out to their teacher should there be any concerns.

It’s an exciting period as students wrap up their year’s work and begin looking ahead to the next grade. They will soon embark on a new journey with new teachers, presenting them with fresh learning opportunities and challenges. Today, our Grade 6 students had a transition day where they had the opportunity to spend the day with Grade 7 students and attend their classes. This experience serves as a valuable glimpse into the secondary level before they officially make the move. I extend my thanks to all the teachers who made this special day possible.

This afternoon, our Grade 1 and Grade 2 students delivered a remarkable performance for parents and fellow students at the Thursday primary assembly. The assembly featured songs and performances that centered around life cycles (Grade 1) and the IB Learner Profile (Grade 2). It was a truly delightful event, and I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the students and teachers involved.

We have been informed that His Excellency Mohammed bin Sulaiman bin Hamoud Al Kindy, Governor of North Al Batinah, will be visiting our school in early June and we are honoured that he will come to tour ABIS. With him will be Mr. Said Al Masoudi, CEO of Sohar Aluminium, and members of the school board. We are looking forward to their visit!

You will have noticed that we are advertising ABIS around Sohar, including a media stand with videos of ABIS in Safeer Mall! I would encourage you to tell your family and friends that our admissions are now open. We welcome everyone to visit the school and tour the premises, meet with the team leaders and teachers, and learn more about what makes ABIS such a special school.

Have a good weekend!
