Hello all,
Well, it’s been a busy few weeks in the music department! We have had our first musical since Covid which was a huge success. Congratulations to all the students involved for making it a show to remember. Working on the show since October, students have learned songs, lines for the script and even some dance moves. It was hard work putting it all together, but they pulled it off in the end. Special thanks to the musical team for all their help; Ms Maeve for help with line memorization and voice projection, Ms Sanaa for the amazing set work and Ms Magz for her words of wisdom.
Grade 1 put on an excellent show, ‘Three Little Pigs’. Students came up with musical themes created from the story, and we then stitched it together with singing, playing and some great acting : )
Grade 2 shared their learning this week. We have been learning how to compose music using quarter and eighth notes and simple ternary form structure. Students decided on notes and rhythms in small groups.
