Dear Parents,
Salaam alaikum and Ramadan Mubarak to you all. Another week has finished and students were very excited about the arrival of the blessed month of Ramadan. I have emailed the updated Ramadan schedule to you all. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
Students learned about the lines of latitude, the equator, the Northern and Southern Hemisphere, and the Tropics this week. Have a look on Seesaw to see some of the work they have been doing in class. It’s important that students get a good grasp of this academic vocabulary in English for their future schooling.
Please ask your child about the European explorer they are doing research and a brief presentation on next week. It’s important they can verbalize and explain in English what they have learned about this explorer so they can teach the rest of the class about them.
Please remember that homework is due on Sunday. Also, students should be using Raz-Kids and Nessy at home for reading and spelling support. Also, make sure students are practicing for their timed multiplication tests for factors (0-12) on Thursday. I will continue to send home homework on Sundays so our students can continue to review and improve their math and reading skills. Students can also work on this homework at school if they have study time during their PE or Music classes.
Have a great weekend!
