This week, in our PHE lessons, Grade 7 students started exploring another international game: baseball/ softball. This week’s focus was on lead-up games to learn the basic rules and fundamental skills of the game. Grade 8 has now shifted their focus to understanding the movement skills used in volleyball.
Grade 9 and 10 students continue to work on their ePortfolio, a project where students work in pairs to develop each others’ individual physical and health goals – coach and client. This project requires students to be critical and creative thinkers, and effective communicators, gather relevant information through research, and set SMART goals.

In sports-related news, our grade 7 and 8 students will play a football friendly against ABQ International School on Monday, March 13th, at ABIS. On Wednesday, March 15th, our swim relay teams will head to Muscat to compete in The American International School of Muscat’s Swim Relay Meet.
We wish all our competing athletes all the best!
