Dear Primary Families,

Thank you to everyone who attended the Community Dinner last week.  It was such a lovely way to get everyone together for the first time in years.  The kids loved the freedom of playing at school at night!  And the parents and other family members were able to begin to put faces to names, and start to build stronger relationships.  I met some people for the first time and I look forward to more of these opportunities in the coming academic year.  There was plenty of good food and everyone had a great evening.

Today was the Early Years (KG and G1) Assembly, and what a wonderful show they put on for us!  This marks the very first time for any of these young learners to be performing for an audience, and they did themselves proud.  Parents were happy; students were ecstatic to have them here.  Thank you to all for attending, and to the teachers who worked hard to prepare and rehearse.

Next Monday, June 13, at 5pm, Grades 5-11 students will perform a Music Concert, under the direction of our music teachers Ms. Kirsten Lloyd and Mr. Mike Clark.  All families are invited to attend this event.  Please plan to arrive at the Mazoon a few minutes early so that the concert can start on time.

With 2 weeks left of school, teachers and students are beginning to wrap up the learning and complete end of year assessments and projects.  Teachers are writing end of year reports and attendance remains very important.  Please do let us know in advance if your family intends to travel early, as it may impact this important end of year process and summary of learning.  Thank you.

All student library books should be returned by now.  Thank you.

  • Reports will be shared with parents on Monday, June 20.
  • The last day of school for this academic year is Wednesday, June 22, with students being dismissed at 1pm.

As always, please contact your child’s teachers, or me, for any clarifications about your child’s learning, or school events.

Have a lovely weekend.  Maeve
