We only had one day of class this week after the exams ended. With the time on hand we completed the critical task of learning the large view structure mammalian kidney. Students need to be able to unite this knowledge with the microscopic theoretical understanding they develop.

The kidneys are a marvel of biological filtration that they need to have a strong understanding of in the Higher Level class.

I could only find sheep kidneys which are very small but in the end I realized that they were perfect. Everyone got their own to dissect. Despite a bit of queasiness I thought it went well.
