Dear parents,

The Grade 6 students held their PYP Exhibition and it was wonderful to see the excitement of the students, their pride in the work they have done, and their knowledge on display. Congratulations to Mr Glen, and his team for supporting the students throughout, and to the students for their excellent work.

Next week is the ABIS Community Dinner on Thursday, June 2, 6-8 pm in the Mazoon. Please bring food to share with others! The Grade 4 students in Ms Amy’s class have been researching sustainability and the use of plastics in disposable utensils and they concluded that plastic is bad for the environment. As a result, the students wrote me letters and asked that the participants of the Community Dinner not use disposable plates. I told them that ABIS would support this, so please do bring non-disposable plates and utensils. We will also be providing ceramic plates.

Tonight is the grade 12 graduation and I congratulate them. The past two years have been challenging, and yet our students worked through it and will be with us tonight as IB Diploma graduates. This is a terrific result. Tonight I am going to tell them how proud we are of them and we wish them all the very best for the future.

Today you will receive a Newsflash informing you of the way in which to enter the school when dropping children off in the mornings from next Sunday. We will now use the middle entrance directly opposite the blue ABIS sign. Traffic entering the school can go either left or right. Primary students can be dropped off directly in front of the school gates as usual.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Dominic Robeau
