Successful PYP Exhibition

Dear Families,

This week Grade 6 students achieved a milestone in their learning journey. As a culmination of their Primary years, each student contributed towards a successful Exhibition on Tuesday evening. All parents attended, and it was wonderful to be able to celebrate this event in person with families.  The students did an amazing job of explaining the process behind the Exhibition and presenting their areas of interest, sharing their questions, research, findings and actions for the future.  It is very rewarding to watch students take charge of their own learning and infuse it with their personal passions.  We couldn’t be more proud of our Grade 6 students!

Please remember that there are 2 more assemblies coming up:

• Thursday, June 2: Grades 2, 3, 4  Please note the starting time is 12:20pm, so please plan to arrive in the Mazoon by 12:15pm
• Thursday, June 9: Grades K1, K2, G1  Starting time 12:30pm

We look forward to welcoming parents at both of these upcoming events.

This week the weather got even warmer!  Students are still allowed to play outside at morning break, and many are choosing to have their snack and free time inside their buildings. Please remember to send a clean, refillable water bottle to school with your child each day so that we can all stay hydrated.

Greetings, Hope you all are safe and healthy. The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) competition is back again. Our students have performed exceptionally well over the last few years with Gold medals at zonal and international levels. This year the exam is offline and will be conducted in school.
SOF is a nonprofit Educational Organization that was established by leading academicians, scientists, and media personalities with the aim of promoting Science, Mathematics, Computer Education, English, Social Studies, General Knowledge, and professional courses. Science Olympiad Foundation has been striving for close to 25 years to promote scientific attitude and temperament through innovative activities and the use of IT in the learning processes that involve school students across the globe.

Why your child should take the Olympiad examination?

For a student, Olympiads delivers a competitive podium and helps them to recognize their area of interest. Moreover, securing a good rank develops a sense of confidence in students. Besides that Olympiad exams helps in better understanding of concepts and develop logical thinking and reasoning in students. Lastly, Olympiads are a stepping stone for future competitive exams and participation certificates,

Medals and awards that you win from Olympiads add a lot of value to your profile.

In the present times when the world is totally pivoted on science and IT, it is pertinent to think and plan about the future – a future in which the children of the present shall be the leaders of tomorrow. Regular qualitative and quantitative assessment needs to be done at the national/international level in order to build up the scientific, commercial and IT talent pool. It is in this sphere that the role of SOF has been much appreciated over these last many years, so much so that The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, through The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, and many highly reputed organizations like The British Council, Star Sports, Techfest IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, National University of Singapore & TCS, etc have volunteered to partner and support SOF’s various programs.
