Dear parents,

We had our first student assembly for Grades 5 and 6. It was wonderful to see students performing in front of staff and parents. Over the next two weeks, the other primary grades will be holding their assemblies. Please do attend your child’s special moment in the Mazoon on their scheduled Thursday.

The Grade 12 students have their final exams tomorrow and then they are finished with school. On Thursday 26 May we will be holding a special Graduation Dinner for the Grade 12 students and their families.  This will be the first full graduation event for ABIS students since Covid began. We are looking forward to celebrating our student’s graduation.

Congratulations to the Grade 10 students who complete their MYP E-Assessments tomorrow! They have worked well and we are very pleased by their efforts.

Next week is a special time for Grade 6 students who will be holding a two-day PYP Exhibition on May 23 and 24. This is the capstone project that students work towards in their final year of Primary school, and as such, it is an important event. Grade 6 families will visit the Exhibition on Tuesday, May 24 from 5.00 pm – 6:30 pm, and other classes during the two days.

On June 2 we will hold the first ABIS Community Dinner, an event where all families bring food to share with others. We look forward to seeing you there on Thursday, June 2 at 6.00 pm in the Mazoon!

There is a weekly clothing sale and I encourage you to look at the online clothing shop here.

Five short videos about ABIS have been circulated on social media. Thank you to everyone who participated in these videos, they look fantastic! You can see them on our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Admissions for the next academic year are open, please encourage your friends and extended family to join us. We are happy to show parents and children around the school at any time.

Have a great weekend.
