Grade 11 TOK students are finishing up with the first of two optional themes. This first theme focuses on knowledge and politics. We have explored a wide range of ideas and examples related to political knowledge and numerous factors that affect it. Among these are the role of truth in politics and the societal consequences of misinformation. Most recently, we have examined what can happen when competing values and freedoms come into conflict in diverse societies. The students have handled these topics with an open-mind and have been willing participants in valuable discussions. Their hard work and enthusiasm have been greatly appreciated!
