Dear parents,
We have been informed that the Director-General of the Private Schools Department of the Ministry of Education plans to visit the school next Thursday morning. We are of course pleased to have the DG visit us and will be showing him and his advisors around the school.
We will begin our coffee mornings starting soon. Grade levels will receive an invitation to attend specific mornings. I look forward to meeting many of our parents over the following weeks.
Yesterday we held two evening sessions for Grade 6 and Grade 7 Omani parents to discuss scholarships and how the IB Diploma can contribute towards obtaining a scholarship. Turnout was excellent with over 30 parents attending across the two sessions. Thank you to everyone who participated, with special thanks to Mr Hilal Al Bahlani, a career guidance specialist from the Ministry of Education, who gave a very good presentation to our parents. Thanks as well to Ms. Zuweina who translated throughout both sessions.
A reminder that next Tuesday, March 1, is a public holiday and ABIS will be closed for the day.
