5,4,3,2,1 – Blast Off! All systems were go in Grade 5 as we enjoyed our first full week back face to face with all of our students!
There were special days celebrated this week, including Mother Tongue Language Day, TWOsday (02-02-2022), a truly special date and a visit from Ms Maeve who shared strategies to handle conflict resolution.
In UOI we made our proposals for our personal inquiries into Space and also reflected on who we think we are as researchers and communicators before we start our deep dive into our chosen topics. It will be great to see how we have made progress when we’re done.
In Maths, we have been learning about the relationships between angles as we come to the end of our angles inquiry. Please ask your children what they have learned… In Language we have been finishing and editing our drafts and sharing some peer feedback prior to our final draft. We are planning our published stories in visual art by designing our book covers and blurb pages ready for the publishing of our stories.
We ended the week by practising our speaking skills as we read aloud excerpts from our own stories!
