We did it! 4 weeks remote. Fingers crossed we will return and get back to normal soon. As it is our hope, we will return to school Tuesday, February 15. With that in mind, please know it could change. We also need to begin reminding the kids of appropriate behaviors: social distancing, hand washing, staying home if feeling any symptoms, etc… We will also go back to maintaining grade bubbles. This will include lunch and playtime. ASA’s are canceled due to safety reasons. PE swimming begins on February 20. Upon our return, we will be celebrating Friendship Day. Students are encouraged to wear pinks, reds, purples, or any variation.
As for our learning this week- we are on a roll! We are working on our summative UOI projects and hope to present them upon our return. It is an open-ended assignment with the intention of creativity and depth. There are guidelines and a checklist, but how far your student wants to go with it, is their choice. Assistance is always appreciated, but please resist doing the project for your student. We learn by doing.
We continue to post student work to our blog and hope you will visit it. Here is the link to a recent post. You will need a passcode to have access, please refer to the Seesaw post with this information. Have a GREAT weekend! See ya on the flip side.
