Dear parents,
It has been wonderful to see the children play across the school at break times, and I have included some photographs below.
I am very pleased to announce that the parent committee members have been finalised. Next week the members will be announced along with the committee elected chairperson.
Next Sunday 14 November at 6 pm the student sign-up sheets will be released for the After School Activities (ASA) which begin on Sunday 21 November. The list of activities on offer can be found here.
We look forward to hosting the first Alpha Football Academy Tournament on our school campus tomorrow, Friday 12th November 9.00 am – 16.00 pm. Some of our students enrolled with the Alpha Academy will be playing, and we wish them fun and success against players from Muscat. Parents are more than welcome to attend and provide support.
Next week is Oman’s 51st National Day on Thursday, November 18. In addition to wearing traditional clothing or Omani colours that day, we are also going to have our first whole school student assembly that morning outside the Mazoon. We ask that students are at school by 8am in order to begin the National Anthem and the raising of the flag at 8:05am.
We received the following from the Ministry of Education today: We are pleased to inform you that the Heritage and Tourism Department in North Al Batinah Governorate, in cooperation with Oman Sail, is organizing a variety of activities and programs along the beach of the Silver Jubilee Park in Sohar on Friday and Saturday from 12-13/11/2021 from ten in the morning until five in the evening, including (sailing experiences – and windsurfing experiences). The student’s participation is optional and not compulsory, the student’s participation is accompanied by the guardian, the student wears sportswear, student registration on arrival at the event site.
