We have had a productive and engaging week in Grade 11 DP History.  This week students were provided with a detailed overview of the course.  They were introduced to the differences between Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL), the six course themes that will guide our conceptual understanding as we study the past, and the details of the various external and internal assessments.  In DP History, the internal assessment (IA) consists of a historical investigation.  Grade 11 students ended this week with an opportunity to begin brainstorming possible IA topics that are of interest to them and that are suitable for rich historical analysis.  I look forward to another great week in DP History as we dive into our first unit and case study: The Move to Global War.
