Dear Families,

Today marks the last day of school for the 2020 – 2021 academic year. And what a year it has been! The students and teachers at ABIS have shown incredible resilience over the course of the year and I am extremely proud of the way we have completed the year, always with our focus on providing the best possible learning for each child.  Thank you parents for the ongoing support, especially during difficult times of learning from home.

For those of you moving on, we will miss you in our ABIS community next year, and I wish you all the best in your new adventures. I look forward to seeing everyone else in August for what we hope will be a face face start.  Keep your fingers crossed that we will all be here in person for a fresh start to a brand new year. We will welcome some new families and some new teachers in August and are excited to build new relationships together.

Yesterday you received your child’s End of Year Report Card.  If you did not receive it please contact Mr. Atul: a.alex@abisoman.com

Please enjoy this collaborative song and dance that Primary students put together with Ms.Cary Markin. It is sure to make you smile! End of Year Primary Song

And also this wonderful recap of the learning in the Arabic Additional Language class with Ms. Eiman Al Balushi, great job Primary students!   Arabic Learning Video

Finally, for anyone who didn’t see it with their classes this week, a summer story from me.  Summer Story from Ms. Maeve

Included below is a list of fun activities that you can do at home with your children over the summer vacation.  The most important thing children can do every single day is to read, read, read. Daily reading is a major factor affecting overall achievement for students, and it will keep your child’s mind engaged and thinking, helping them to return to school in August prepared for new learning.

I wish all of you a wonderful, relaxing and safe summer. Maeve
