Dear all,
It is coming to the end of the year and as always at this time, there are a number of goodbyes (and hellos) for our staff.
This year, there are several teachers who have decided to head back home: Eriks Kronitis and Lauma Kronite are going home to the USA, Gary Goodwin and Geetika Mekhala to Canada, Paul Healy, Nikkie Andrews and Simone Affleck to New Zealand and Scott McBirnie to the UK. We wish to thank Sean Howes for his commitment to teaching this past semester while living in England and looking after his family. Others are staying overseas and heading for new roles: Matthew and Cheryl Isles are moving to Muscat, Cary Markin to Abu Dhabi and Ramesh Warrier is moving to Khartoum, Sudan.
We would like to wish all of them the very best. We are incredibly grateful for their contributions to the school, their commitment to the success of our students and the energy and efforts invested over and above what was expected. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to work with them. Thank you to all.
There is one person who must be highlighted. He has been with the school from the start, and it is indeed a sad day when he leaves. Ramesh Warrier has served the school faithfully and with extraordinary commitment over 14 years. He has decided on a new adventure by going to Sudan to join an international school; the school will be lucky to have him. We wish him all the best!
At this time not only do we bid people farewell, but we also welcome the new teachers joining us. We have been incredibly lucky to find a group of talented and experienced IB teachers to join our team for next year and we believe they will be wonderful additions. We have attached the new teacher’s profiles to this message and invite you to take a look here!
They are all excited and looking forward to coming to Oman and joining our team.
All the best,
Dominic
