The students in grade 3G have been creative and inventive this week. We have learnt lots of new things in UOI, English and Maths. We would like to share our success stories with you.

As part of our unit of inquiry on inventors and inventions the students accepted the challenge to design and make three different paper planes to be tested to find out which was the best design?

The top photo is by Hamid and the bottom photo is a guide on how to make the planes by Mohammed.

The students threw each plane three times and recorded the furthest result using non standard measurement.

Ayyoub recorded his test results on Seesaw and gave clear instructions on how to make his planes.

The students took their results and used the data to plot and draw a bar graph. This was challenging because the students had never experienced this before. They were all risk takers and tried their best and learnt a lot in the process.

This symmetrical robot was created by Rayan. The students have tried their best to take some interesting photos to share with parents to show their online learning experience. Photos were taken and then useful feedback was shared for improvement. Here are a selection of the edited photos.

I’m sure you will agree, the photos say a lot about how committed the students are with their learning. Well done class, you have all tried very hard this week.
