Dear Families,

We continue to see excellent attendance and engagement from students across all grades in the online Primary classes.  This is fantastic!  It’s a testament to the students’ curiosity and desire to continue to learn, and to connect with their friends and teachers.  It’s also due to the dedication and hard work the teachers are putting into creating interesting and meaningful learning for the children each day.  I would like to thank all of you for your ongoing support and for the structures and expectations you have put into place at home to help your child be successful.  Let’s keep this great momentum going.

Teachers are arranging another materials pick up for next Thursday, May 6 between 8am and 2pm.  Only some teachers need materials sent home, so please be sure to check the weekly email from homeroom teachers this coming Sunday to know whether you need to pick up a new package of learning materials, or if it is not necessary.  If you are unsure, please contact the teacher directly. You will receive a reminder about this next week.

It’s been a fun week weather wise, with wind, clouds, thunder, lightning and even a few drops of rain in some areas! I haven’t seen rain since arriving in Oman!  It’s a good opportunity to talk about weather patterns and changes with your child.  What do they notice?  What causes the changes? Are there any patterns they notice?  Encouraging your child to observe and think about the world around them is always a good idea, and children are naturally curious about weather and excited about the chance of rain!

Continue to stay safe and healthy.  Maeve
