Hi everyone,
What a jam-packed week we have had this week in G5, celebrating Earth Day, starting our new unit on Ecosystems and using great technology skills and communication skills to solve internet and meet problems.
In Mathematics we have been inquiring into fractions. In teams we made group presentations to share our understanding of equal parts, proper and improper fractions and mixed numbers. Next week we’ll be looking at the connections between fractions and decimals and percentages.
In Unit and Language we have been looking at “cause and effect” and how systems are made up of many components that can affect each other. We looked at the impact of cutting down trees in the rainforest and reintroducing wolves to an ecosystem (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysa5OBhXz-Q).
We published our parody of traditional tales writing and used canva.com to design front and back covers. Can you spot what we changed/twisted in our stories?
