Hi everyone,
Ramadan Kareem to all the families in G5 who are celebrating. May this be a special time for you and your families.
Our first full week online has been a busy one – we have been finishing up our work on 3D Shape and Volume, photographing a scavenger hunt of 3D shapes at home, making nets using tooth picks and testing out the mathematician Euler’s Formula. We are applying our learning by designing packages.
We have also been finding out about Fair Trade in the banana business, Ms Deb was not at all fair when she was running her banana company and rejected almost all bananas and offered very small, unfair prices, even threatening to buy from other grades! We used this experience to draft our final debates arguing for fair trade and for all stakeholders to be treated with respect.
Student Led Conferences were a huge success with everyone speaking with pride about their achievements and areas they want to work on. It showed a high level of understanding and commitment to growth as learners. A very impressive achievement – especially online!
