Hi everyone,
We have celebrated spirit week by dressing as twins (or triplets or quads!), as Disney characters and in PJs.
This week in Mathematics we finished our inquiry into length, area and perimeter and reflected on how much our knowledge has grown since the start of our inquiry – we answered almost all our initial questions and wonderings. We are now starting to explore 2D & 3D shape and volume and are already making connections to our length, area and perimeter work.
In Language we are adding persuasive “tricks” to our arguments and used them when we took different roles in a mini debate about cutting down a tree. We used a book inquiry to find as many apostrophes as we could and then sorted them into contractions (missing letters) and possession (belongs to).
In Unit have been inquiring in to the processes food goes through on its journey and following the journey of Nutella – focussing on our concept of Responsibility. What are the impacts of buying palm oil, sugar and cocoa on fair trade and the environment?
