Dear parents,

As we finish another successful week there are some items of interest for you for the near future.

On Sunday we will begin the new drop off system with primary students dropped off at the gate and secondary students at both front carparks. If you have primary and secondary children in the car, all can be dropped off at the gate. Entry into the school will be through the tent at the front gate, where student temperatures will be taken. In the afternoons the tent will be used for waiting students, otherwise they will exit through the second main gate.

Note that next weekend is a long weekend, with Sunday 4th and Monday 5th being public holidays. Students return to school on Tuesday 6th April.

You have received a newsflash regarding the earlier school finish time during Ramadan. This has been met with a positive reaction, thank you. Sunday through to Wednesday will finish at 2 pm, and Thursday at the normal time of 1pm. You will be advised beforehand the date for this to begin.

Another newsflash went out about Spirit Week. This is an annual celebration of the school to show ABIS spirit with a bit of fun! Spirit Week will take place from March 28th to April 1st. Please remind your children that they must still follow school clothing regulations such as shoulders and knees covered. We are looking forward to the week and will be sharing photos next Thursday.

The number of Covid cases have been rising this week in Oman leading to the question as to whether we will go back to online learning. At this stage, we will only do so under two scenarios, a student or teacher is tested positive leading to the school going online for 2 weeks, or the government instructs the school to go online. We hope to continue to attend school until the end of the year and will be paying careful attention to all government instructions.

As always, please pay attention to safety and health, and have a wonderful weekend!
