Our grade 11 DP student took part in an online virtual CAS conference organised by castrips.org. Around 200 students from Africa, Europe and the Middle-East took part in this conference to discuss “equality – driving social, racial and gender justice”.
One of the activities in the conference included students working in groups in a hackathon format to develop a long term solution focused Service project in response to a charity’s urgent and authentic need. One project was to be chosen and given a grant of EUR1000 to further develop their project.
I am extremely proud to announce that Kavya’s group won this hackathon and will use the money to continue to collaborate with students around the world and to develop their project.
