Lizzie in Grade 11 has completed three printmaking projects and is now coming back to a medium where she has more prior experience. In DP Visual Art, students are able to specialize in their favorite medium for the final exhibition. Their process portfolio, on the other hand, should show that they have experimented with 2D, 3D, and digital or lens-based art to become more well-rounded.
After investigating the work of illustrator Norman Rockwell, Lizzie has decided to recreate an old family photo in a scene that is typical of Rockwell’s work, but with her own twist. Although she has done oil painting in the past, now she is exploring the use of a green underpainting to see if it works well for her.
