Dear ABIS community,

It is with sadness that I must inform you of the passing of Marie Usher yesterday in the United Kingdom.

Marie joined ABIS in August 2012 and stayed with us until late 2020. Over the years Marie touched the lives of many children in our primary school.

She was a well-loved teacher who was incredibly committed to her students and the ABIS community. Marie has been described as kind, inclusive, caring, friendly, with a wonderful sense of humor and always wishing the best for her students. She made many friends and was known for her love for the people, culture and land of Oman. Marie was a role model for others and she will be missed.

Our thoughts and prayers go to her children Danielle and Chris, and all members of her extended family.

ABIS will create a memorial for Marie on the school campus in memory of her life here. A group of teachers have formed a committee and will advise of plans.

Sincerely,

Dominic Robeau
