Dear parents,

We are delighted to have all our students back at school and also welcoming for the first time this academic year our KG1-3 students.

The school is in the new normal of face masks, physical distancing and sanitizing hands, but we are very grateful that we are able to open for all students. We will continue to carefully utilize and monitor our health and safety protocols and remain vigilant in all areas.

The semester reports will be issued to parents on Thursday February 4, 2021. I am sure that students and parents are looking forward to seeing the results, and discussing these at the student led conferences in March.

Please note that the last day of school is Thursday June 17, 2021. The new academic year is scheduled to begin on Sunday August 22, 2021. I trust these dates will assist you in organizing your summer breaks.

Many students are wearing the correct clothing for school, however, some students do need to check that they are following the school uniform guidelines. If you need an extra item of clothing, our ABIS shop is open online for orders.

I have been at the front of the school most mornings to assist the student drop-off, and the patience and support of the parents has been excellent. Thank you to everyone for following the guidelines and helping us in ensuring the drop-off time runs smoothly.

Many thanks as well to the team who are out every morning taking temperatures, sanitizing hands and guiding students to their learning areas and all the teachers supporting students during the pick-up time. The afternoon pick-up requires adjustment and we will trial new practices next week.

Enjoy your weekend!
