Today we had a visit from six supervisors from the Sohar Ministry of Education. Five of these supervisors are new to their posts in Sohar and the visit was centred around the programmes of learning taking place at ABIS. We toured the school seeing our teachers and students in action. With some students still learning online it was great for these educators to see how ABIS is offering our Blended Learning Programme. They were suitably impressed with what they saw and made the comment that our teachers must work very hard. Indeed they do! We followed up with a presentation about the IB programme and Question and Answer session. They loved seeing the school and are looking forward to coming back in the future especially to see our MYP programme in action.
It was wonderful to see the students in their National Day clothing yesterday in celebration of 50 years of progress and prosperity. School continued as normal despite the lovely attire!
Today the first Exhibition meeting was held with mentors, and grade 6 will all meet with these teachers next week.
