In Grade 3 this week we enjoyed celebrating International Dot Day by listening to the Dot Day story, singing The Dot Day song and of course wearing spotty clothes on Tuesday. We also made a couple of artworks for Dot Day.

Alice decorated her room too!

We traced around a circular object in our homes and then used the space to create an artwork. We overlaid the message that we want to remember from the story ‘The Dot’.

We used our imaginations to create a picture from a dot on a page. See the clever ways these people turned a dot into a picture.

We read a biography about Mahatma Gandhi this week too. A few people in our class already knew some information about Gandhi. We recorded the information we found out in the story on a Jamboard.

Here are a few more pictures of our learning activities this week.
