Congratulations class, you have successfully completed grade 3. It has been a unique year with a number of challenging events. I have never experienced so much rain in such a short time resulting in flooding that closed the school. This year we said goodbye to Sultan Qaboos who sadly passed away on January 10th. The outbreak of the Caronavirus has meant we have all faced the challenge of staying at home. Despite these challenges you have shown resilience, commitment and developed life skills that you can take forward as you progress to Grade 4.

It has been a pleasure to be your teacher, you have all made my first year at ABIS very enjoyable filled with wonderful memories. In my final post I would like to share photos of your achievements this week, but also a few of my most memorable photos. I would like to wish you all a safe and enjoyable summer.

A collage by Sophie. Take note of the speech bubbles and how the 50 is bouncing in celebration!
Aidan made a card that has a light. Inside the card has a battery and conductive tape to complete the circuit.
Paper plane challenge presented by Nuraiz.
Paper plane challenge with target board by Dania.
Mona made a video explaining how her paper plane target game works. The target number is 150 in three goes. “And that is how you do the board ‘thingy’ challenge! Oh Yeah!”
Annabelle and her sister carried out a fun experiment using baking soda and vinegar. Their first experience of Chemistry.
Nuraiz made a real effort to look super cool and smart for our final class meeting. He also prepared some traditional Pakistani food to enjoy during the meeting. Bahut acha! Very Good!
Our final meeting as a Grade 3 class. Thank you for being part of a wonderful learning journey.
Sophie dressed as a pirate for the final meeting and enjoyed munching on some pop corn.
I enjoyed teaching the ukulele this year. Lessons will continue next year. Keep strumming over the summer.
Grade 3 looking very sporty.
Grade 3 together with Ms Simone.
The Grade 3 camp was a unique experience I will remember fondly. You embraced every experience with a positive attitude.
Outstanding art work. We learnt about William Turner, an English painter (1775 to 1851). Pastel was used to create a boat in a storm.
This is my final post. As Sophie says in her card, safe travels and best wishes. Thank you once again for a great year; I hope you have enjoyed the memorable photos.
