Monday was a very special day for Oman and we celebrated the 49th National Day at school in several ways. Our class looked very smart dressed in traditional Omani clothing or the colours of the Omani flag.

We enjoyed watching some Grade 4 students perform an Omani dance. Then we watched a video that told us lots of interesting information about Sultan Qaboos’ life and the remarkable ways Oman has developed since he became the Sultan. We all learned some new information.

Later in the day we visited LC3 to look at some special Omani artefacts.

And then it was time for a delicious treat of lovely Omani foods, brought by generous families of our school. Some of us would have happily stayed longer but we needed to go to our Music lesson.

We are starting to wonder how Oman will celebrate the 50th National Day in 2020?
