What a game! What a win! ABIS boys played Batang Gilas on Wednesday night in a very entertaining and exciting game. Both teams started nervously but ABIS gradually opened up a lead through some good baskets from Newton and some free throws from Julio. ABIS built on their lead for a 10 point lead after a solid first half which featured some great defense from Jule’s, Andrew, Rafael and Akram. The second half started well for ABIS as the boys got on a roll and stretched their lead to 18 points. Batang Gilas didn’t give up however and got on a roll with 8 quick points at the start of the third quarter followed by three 3 pointers to cut the lead to 5. Julio relieved the pressure with a great 3 pointer and ABIS ended up taking the points 57 – 50. For ABIS Julio scored 22 points, Newton 18 and Andrew 9 while Abdul Rahmen scored 36 points for Batang Gilas.
