What a week of activity we have had. We’ve had a lab report and a test in chemistry 11. Next week they start a new topic in earnest with a laboratory testing their ability to use their chemical accounting. Grade 12 chemistry has grouped again into their full group. They are in the midst of their oxidation-reduction topic. They have started one of the hardest lab investigations of the two-year program and are managing it all well.

Both biology 11 students and biology 12 students are finishing their studies of cell biology and genetics, respectively. This means that grade 11 students will soon split briefly so that the higher level topic can begin. In grade 12 all students will have a topic exam next week and will start their unit on Genetics and Evolution.

In grades 7, 8, and 9 all students in the MYP support class have been designing logos about the International Baccalaureate Approaches to Learning. They have been using digital design tools to make their products, one of which you can see here.

Have a great weekend.
