It is hard to believe that I write this with the title of One Week to Go. You will see, when you get the annual report, what a busy year it has been making the most of our new facilities and the new initiatives that have arisen as a result. Teachers remain committed to ensuring learning is happening up until Thursday so please continue to send you children to school – very day makes a difference!

Thank you to those who contributed to the Parent Liaison Committee Morning Tea for teachers. It was much appreciated by all who attended and a nice treat for us!

Learner Profile Certificates for our Early Years students were presented today at assembly. Next week Primary Assembly will begin at 11.45am to allow for students in grades 2-6 to receive their certificates before Secondary will join us for the End of Year Assembly where we farewell those who are leaving, students and teachers.

Monday 17th is a Thank You Coffee Morning at 8.20 for those involved in Mother Tongue Monday’s. These require a monthly commitment from parents and our students have enjoyed the opportunities to learn games, songs and stories in the Mother Tongue. Hopefully we can build in this initiative in the next academic year.

Other events coming up next week will include class parties which are always looked forward to and enjoyed.

Below is some information about a Science competition.

Dear Fellow Parents,

Next academic year we would like to introduce the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) competitions.
The SOF is a registered not-for-profit organization established by leading academicians, scientists and media personalities with the aim of promoting science, mathematics, computer education, English, sports and professional courses. The Science Olympiad Foundation has been striving for over two decades to promote scientific attitude and temperament through innovative activities and use of IT in learning processes that involve school students across the globe

The role of SOF has been much appreciated over these last few years in building up the scientific and IT talent pool, so much so that The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, through The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, and many highly reputed organizations like National University of Singapore, BBC Knowledge, The British Council, Star Sports etc. have volunteered to support SOF’s various programs.   All activities of the Foundation invariably aim at making learning an interesting and interactive process in which the learner is actually able to put his / her skills, memory, talent and knowledge to test. The foundation conducts the following Olympiads as per the schedule below:
