This week, it has been a pleasure to watch G9 students stand up and talk about global issues, as well as share some ways to solve them. Following a deep dive into the research of perspectives on these issues, the G9s created products including TED Talks, Podcasts, and News Magazine articles. Greta and Lizzy offered a balanced view of the impacts on nations who receive immigrants.
Noaf put us in the shoes of a migrant trying to find a job and make his / her way in the world.
Zyrelle made us all think about the extent of children who have limited access to quality eduction.
Jaira focused us on the rights of women who have been violated.
Mayar and Aufa explored the insanity defense to criminal cases and how to avoid it from being exploited.
Tay’a and Annelies looked at the difficult question of native workers rights vs. immigrant workers rights and how to balance the job market in a fair way.
Sulaiman and Abdullah wrote a news report about the overall problem of lack of employment opportunities, worldwide.
Wi-aam brought to question, what does a country do when its population has exceeded its sustainable limits, something we should all be concerned about.
The G9s did a fantastic job overall with this project and they are well prepared to begin their course work following Oman Week. Great job G9s!!
