This week, the grade 12 DP History class used visual thinking to map the events, people, and treaties that led to German and Italian Expansionism in the 1930s and 40s. Creating a history map like the one shown below helps students to see events in context, cause and effect relationships, and it helps them retain more information by associating all of the elements with images. We had fun, learned lots, and have a visual document to refer to when studying.
