This week it was time for Grade 10 IGCSE candidates and for Grade 12 DP candidates to sit and “parler français” for their final oral exam. Behind the scenes and what sounded like a casual conversation on the recording was a lot of work and preparation from the candidates. From an ATL point of view they have realised throughout this process that ‘improvised’ interviews require paradoxically a strong background work.
