We have been researching types of Extreme Weather this week. We have been learning to locate information in non-fiction books. We discovered using the Index page was a great time saver. If we could not find the information we needed in books, then sometimes we needed to search websites. We have summarised the information and are now planning how to present it to the rest of Grade 2 in an eye catching way.
We have been practising distance running in readiness for Sports Day. Each week we seem to be able to run a little further.
Ms Maryam brought some tasty local fruit for us to try called noboq. All of us were keen to try them and although they looked like mini apples and were a little crunchy like apples, the texture was quite different. They were nice and juicy and not too sweet. Yum!
We worked together to sort temperature words from the hottest to coldest. By the end of it, we had all learned at least one new word.
