This week, G9 Global Perspectives students dissected questions to determine if they were good for research or not so good. And, if not, how could it be improved? Through this process, they are learning how to formulate their own research questions. They are beginning to understand how the type of questions we ask greatly effect the answers we find.

The goal in global perspectives research is to create questions that are: global in nature; allow for consideration of a range of perspectives; clear and concise; and have a manageable scope. And most importantly, the questions need to come from a place of personal interest in a global issue they care about and hope to find solutions for. This study of what makes good research questions is another important step forward toward doing their Team Project and Individual Research reports, both major components of Global Perspectives. Great job G9s!
