The Primary Inter House Basketball competition has been taking place over the past fortnight. In the girls competition the Falcons and Dolphins proved to be the stronger teams and went into the final game with two wins each. Natalie and Jesmika had been the outstanding players in both teams and they had a great contest in the final game before the Dolphins ran away with the win in the second half 16-6. Natalie was well supported by Daniela for the Falcons and in the Dolphins Kate and Tayma also played strongly. For the third placed Desert Foxes, Lilli was the top scorer and she was well supported by Maria. Although being relatively short the Leopards girls played with great teamwork with Rawan, Elisa, Fajr and Maria all showing great skill.
The boys competition featured some very exciting games, notably a 14 all draw between the Desert Foxes and the Dolphins and a narrow 12-11 win to the Leopards over the Foxes. Dolphins ended up undefeated to take out the competition with Leopards second, Falcons third and Desert Foxes in fourth. For the Dolphins Andrew was outstanding and he was well supported by Ali and Abhinav. Hans was the top scorer for the Leopards and the whole team – Sergio, Nick, Toby and George all worked well together. Diego and Jao Gabriel worked tirelessly for the Falcons while for the Foxes JJ was outstanding with good support from Logan and Gonzalo.
Total house points for both competitions were Dolphins 40, Falcons 25, Leopards 20 and Desert Foxes 15.
