We had a wonderful time this week visiting the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Mosque in Sohar. It was awesome to examine the beautiful artwork around the mosque up close.
We had a guide who told us many interesting facts about the mosque. Ms Eiman and Ms Khadija translated the information into English for us.
It was neat having the Grade 8 students with us for the visit.
Many parts of the mosque were enormous and we tried to estimate how many metres long or high certain parts were. Here we are counting our strides to measure the length of the men’s prayer hall.
After a good deal of walking around the mosque, we were ready for our snack.
