This week’s math involved a lot of planes. Paper planes that is. The children experimented with a number of designs by changing the size of the wingspan (the variable) to see which plane would go the furthest. They then had a competition and compared the different designs. The winning plane flew almost fourteen and a half meters. Next week we will review the order of operations (BEDMAS) and algebraic equations. Our writing will mainly be in the discussion genre coupled with some narrative writing. As we did this week, we will continue to work with the children in grade four on the conflict unit.
