Tuesday morning’s fog might have made driving to school slower than usual but it was perfect for our UOI Weather topic. From the top of the LC1 building we watched the fog start to clear. We could feel the moisture in the air very well from up there. The fog was so thick we could not see the hills at all. The sun looked like a full moon in the sky even though it was 8:30 in the morning.

We found out there is a weather station up on top of the building that measures the wind.  We also noticed there were several metal pole-like objects around the edge of the roof and found out they are there to protect the building in case of lightning strike.

We were treated to a performance of Billy Goats Gruff by one of our reading groups. The performers were very good at reading in clear voices and remembering to face the audience.
