What a great week for the school. It started with a Dance competition in Muscat on Sunday. Miss Chatterjea and Mr Griebenow accompanied 11 students to the British School, where they performed in a competition. Anton and Willem not only performed to a poetry piece, they also got to join the judging panel with other adults. What an honour and recognition of their talents! All of our students performed really well and impressed the crowd and judging panel. A special thank you to Miss Chatterjea for inspiring and guiding the students. Thank you to all the parents who made the trip to Muscat to lend their support. We are grateful to have formed this partnership with BSM.
CIS have spent the week meeting with students, teachers and even parents to determine how the school is developing. This is a very important moment for our school and its development as the process provides a clear route forward for the school to develop, as well as an opportunity to recognise how far we have come. We than everyone for their support and hope to share positive news in coming weeks. We are all crossing our fingers for a successful outcome, though we will need to wait several weeks before we know if we will be accredited by CIS. They gave us some very positive verbal feedback this afternoon before they left about our friendly community, wonderful students, and committed staff.
On Wednesday, we had our first movie night. This was a lot of fun and exciting opportunity to test out our new projection facilities. Almost like going to a real cinema! Thank you to our amazing Student Council and their Teacher advisor, Miss Brewer, for organising this.
