8th graders have been part of Science Fiction book clubs, and once we finished the books they were asked to create a tableaux performance to present the book to the others in the class. They enjoyed the task, as it gave them the chance to dramatically interpret key scenes in the books, and to practice this form of performance art. We also tried out the new theatre room, and look forward to using it again as the year progresses.
